Insert the toothbrush needle into the
next stitch. Keep the loop on the
needle.
With previous loop on needle, insert the tip
of the needle into the TOP loop (see image
7). You should now have TWO loops on your
needle.
Take the loop that is on your thumb, and twist it
as shown.
Insert the needle into the loop you just
twisted. You now have THREE loops on your
needle.
Place your thumb under the fabric to the
left. With your right hand, pull the needle
through all THREE loops. As you pull, the
fabric to the left will tighten, and your
thumb will catch this fabric to make a
loop.
Continue to pull and tighten the fabric around
your thumb, by pulling on the working strip
that your needle is on.
The loop you made will need to be adjusted.
You don't want it too tight as you will need to
twist this and fit your needle through it.
There should always be TWO loops on your
working strip. You will work with the TOP loop.
